The materials for the inlay in the rings has be collected from walks and adventures through the lake district hills and fells, This is where the inspiration originated for a hard waring locally connected piece of jewellery the would showcase the rugged terrain and nature of the Lake Distict and Cumbria

We have through a rigorous process made a hardwaring and sustainble ring, with strong raw material by choosing a tungsten ring and then applying a unique process to protect the stone once its set

We aim to offer a custom service to clients who would like a certain stone slate inlayed in a Tungsten rings, contact us and we can discuss a range of services we offer.

What materials do you use in your jewellery?

We use locally sourced Lake District rock and slate in our jewellery, ensuring each piece is unique and reflects the region's natural beauty. We have used Kirkstone sea green, Brathay black stone, Kirkby blue slate, and Cumbrian buff sandstone in our rings, to exhibit a broad range of colours and textures.

How can I order a custom piece?

To order a custom piece, simply contact us with your ideas, and our team will work closely with you to design and create a bespoke jewellery piece.

Why are we named Rough Fell Rings ?

The Rough Fell is a bread of sheep, which develops twisted horns and is local to Kendal, and the surrounding areas. The main inspiration for choosing this for our logo was that it felt like a good representation of our work. This was due to our belief that the Rough Fell sheep, is a good example of what it takes to survive all conditions, and this coincided with our motivation for the design of our rings
